About the Oryx:

The South African oryx (Oryx gazella) or Gemsbok is a large antelope native to the extremely dry, arid regions of Southern Africa; notably, the Kalahari Desert.
Hunters widely pursue Gemsbok for their spectacular horns, which average 85 cm (33 in) in length.
Gemsbok are one of the few antelope species where female trophies are sometimes more desirable than male ones.
A gemsbok horn can be fashioned into a natural trumpet.

About the wood:

Camelthorn wood, obtained from the Camelthorn shrub, is very durable and resistant to rot and decay.
The Camelthorn tree offers valuable shade to livestock.
It is a protected species in South Africa.
You must obtain the right permit before harvesting Camelthorn because excessive harvesting for use as high-quality firewood has depleted its numbers.

Appearance:

Its light-brown to reddish-brown colour and uniform texture make it an attractive choice for woodworking projects.
Camelthorn wood is too heavy for furniture but it is extensively used for small ornamental objects like knife handles, small dishes, kitchen utensils and tools.
The wood is heavy and hard, with a dense grain structure and is therefor ideal for applications such as flooring and building construction.
In the past, people utilized Camelthorn wood for fence posts, mining props, and machine bearings, which is not surprising.

Quality

Thanks to our innovative crafting technique, we have been able to create inlay rings with unmatched quality.

We achieve this by utilizing premium stainless steel as a core, with a solid piece of instrument-grade wood serving as the inlay.

Our technique involves using a solid piece of material to create an inlay that does not have any joins, resulting in a durable and long-lasting product.

Warranty

Our Stainless Steel Inlay Rings are naturally hard-wearing and made to be worn for years to come. We offer a one-year warranty on all our rings, so you can trust in the quality of our products.

Ring Care

Here are some helpful tips to maintain your ring:

  • Although your ring is water-resistant, it's best to remove it during activities such as bathing or handling water and solvents.
  • Avoid exposing your ring to harsh chemicals, such as antibacterial wipes, cleaners, perfumes, and hair products, as these can discolour or warp the inlay.
  • Keep your ring out of direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause fading and cracking.
  • Before engaging in activities that involve heavy lifting or abrasives, remove your ring to prevent scratches or damage.
  • If your ring gets wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth to prevent water damage.
  • If you find that your ring is too tight, don't force it off. Instead, run your hand under cold water and use soap or cooking oil to gently remove it.

Our inlay ring with a premium stainless steel core is a high quality product and with the
proper care, will last you a very long time.
