Made from a crosscut piece of spiralled Kudu Horn,
joined with a piece of solid, hand picked Leadwood
and inlaid into a premium Stainless Steel Ring core.
About the Kudu:
The Greater Kudu is a woodland antelope found throughout eastern and southern Africa.
Kudus are known for their agility and speed, allowing them to quickly escape danger.
They are capable of jumping up to 3 meters in height and 5 meters in length, making them exceptional leapers.
This antelope have a distinctive appearance with long spiral horns and a shaggy mane.
Greater kudu bulls are much larger than the cows and also have beards running along their throats.
Kudu horns:
Kudu horns reach an average length of 120 cm (47 in).
The current record being 187.64 cm (73.87 in).
About the wood:
Leadwood boasts a visually striking appearance, with its heartwood being a rich, dark brown to almost black color.
Its fine, even texture and straight grain make it a pleasure to work with, and it has a high natural luster that brings out its beautiful figure.
Its hardness and density make it highly resistant to rot and insects, making it ideal for outdoor use.
It has also been extensively harvested as firewood, explaining its protected status.
Despite its density, leadwood is easy to shape and carve, making it a popular choice for artistic woodworking projects.
